You Just Got Your First Booking: Now What?

To keep things smooth and stress-free, here’s a quick guide to your next steps

Big high-five! If you’re reading this, it likely means that you just accepted your very first booking on Side by Side Share.

To keep things smooth and stress-free, here’s a quick guide to your next steps:

1. Get Your Paperwork Ready

Print a copy of the Departure and Return Forms and bring them along with a pen to your meeting with the renter.

  • Why It Matters: These signed forms, paired with videos and photos, are essential if you need to file a claim or request reimbursement from the renter’s security deposit. Without them, your request could be denied.

How to Use Them: At departure, do a “walk-through” with your renter. Go through each step on the Departure Form together – either complete it yourself and have them sign, or fill it out side by side, whatever works for you. Just ensure both you and the renter sign it.

2. Check Your Inbox and Review Booking Details

Access Your Booking: Visit your Inbox to see all the details of your accepted booking.

Communicate with Your Renter: Use the inbox to message your renter, reply to any questions, and confirm pick-up/drop-off times. Double-checking these details keeps everyone aligned.

  • 💬 Key Reminder: Keep all communication in the inbox. It helps our support team assist you or the renter if needed – and protects you too.

Review Add-on’s Ordered: Look at the Booking Breakdown section in the inbox to see if the renter added anything like trailers, child seats, helmets, or coolers, etc. Prepare those items accordingly.

🚚 What about delivery? If you offer delivery and the renter purchased it in the check-out process, their requested delivery address will appear above your vehicle’s primary location in the Inbox.

3. Don’t Rush Departure

Your renter should never feel rushed when they come to pick up your UTV.

So be sure to schedule adequate time on the day of departure for a thorough walk-through, proper instructions or a test drive if needed, and time to answer any questions and handle the paperwork discussed above.

  • Why It Matters: The more effort you put into this step, the fewer issues you’ll face later.

🤝 We’ve Got Your Back

The day before the trip, we’ll call the renter to review safety and expectations, adding an extra layer of support for you.

Otherwise, we’re here to help with anything that comes about.
